This is a neat little item of unknown origin, possibly from the 1920s or 1930s.

The case is brass with a tortoiseshell lacquer finish. This is of high quality but showing signs of wear.

The display is unusual in that the number array is fixed and the day order is changed to suit by turning the knobs at the bottom. The month is changed with the knob on the back.
