SMITHS EMPIRE oak cased 8 day military wall clock
1940s This clock would have been
manufactured in the 1930s or 1940s under a War
Department contract by an independent manufacturer using
Smiths movements. The clock features a solid oak bezel
which is hinged at the top to allow access for winding
and time setting. The clock is driven by the rugged
and reliable 8 day front-winding and front-regulating
Smiths Empire 151 movement with jewelled platform
escapement.
