SMITHS 'Quadrant' electronic battery mantel clock
1970sAnother beautiful clock from the Smiths stable, featuring a teak veneered case and petrol blue dial. The back of the case is held in place by four velcro pads - an early civilian application!
The dial and hands are nicely detailed and this example, which is driven by a transistorised 'tuning fork' movement with smooth-sweeping second hand, has the tuning fork logo on the dial. This dates production to between 1971 and 1975.
