This is the rarely found larger (12 inch dial) version of the iconic Smiths 9 inch dial clock. Their rarity is compounded by the fact that most were fitted with thin steel dials that were prone to rust, so few have survived in good order.
This example, dated May 1961, is a 'transitional' model with the new dagger hands but a traditional stepped case (the more rounded case was introduced around this time).
It is powered by the well proven Smiths 8 day 2 inch movement with platform escapement and will run for over a week on a full wind.
The clock has been disassembled, cleaned, serviced and the case polished. It is supplied in excellent condition and full working order with instructions on setting up and regulating plus guidance on aftercare.
