Oak cased perpetual wall calendar, 9 inch diameter, 1950s

This is an excellent example of the classic wall-hanging perpetual calendar. It is framed in solid oak and oak plywood with a golden honey finish. The linen date roll, printed in the distinctive Gill Sans typeface, and the day/month rollers are protected by a glass window; the fittings are brass.

The calendar is in full working order. It has been disassembled, cleaned and polished but otherwise left completely original. The date roll is fully intact with no damage. There is slight discolouration to the day roller but no loss. The overall condition is excellent and it displays very well.

Diameter 9 inches (225mm); depth 70mm. Weight 0.6kg
