This is a very attractive little desk clock (or strut clock) from Smiths Enfield, dating to around 1950.

It has a 30 hour movement so requires daily winding.

An unusual feature is that the contrast between the matt chapter ring, with its raised Arabic numerals, and the satin silver dial changes dramatically depending on light direction.

The back of the clock has a superb brown crackle finish.
